Our first hockey game

Last night Dagan, Mike and I went to our first hockey game. Mike has been to them before, but not Dagan and me. Mike got tickets from a guy at work, so down to Stockton we went! We saw the Stockton Thunder play the Fresno Falcons. We got to sit way up high in the Comcast suite. There were chips and dip, popcorn, cake and red and white wine. It was pretty snazzy. The good thing about it was there was room for Dagan to walk around. I was a little worried about having him sit in our laps the whole time, but it worked out. I forgot to take the camera, so the pictures were taken with Mike's phone. He was standing behind us in the suite when he took these. Dagan had tons of fun! I was worried that all the noise might bother him a little, but it really didn't. Actually, when the Thunder scored a goal and everyone started yelling he joined right in! He ran around the suite laughing, and we had to keep him from going down the steps. We tried to get him to pay attention to what was going on on the ice, but he was more interested in checking out the seats. We left a few minutes into the 3rd period, Dagan was done. I don't know who won, but it was 3-1 Fresno when we left. It was almost 10, and he was tired. He didn't cry or fuss much until we got to the car, and then there was a good 5 minuted of hollering until he fell asleep. All in all our first family outing to a hockey game was a ton of fun. We can't wait to do it again! If Mike could just get in with the Comcast guys in San Jose, then we could go to a pro game!

I have only been to one hockey game but it was so much fun!

I think it's great you have started him early :)

I don't want a toothless grandson. Maybe he could play soccer?

Well, Mike played soccer for several years. We are thinking he could be a goalie instead of a defenceman or enforcer. They wear a complete face mask and rarely loose teeth. It will be up to him, but we'll support any decision. Unless it's basketball. Ick ick and double ick.
